Cyrill Emilievich Razlogov is the Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Russian Academy of the Internet, the National Academy of Cinematography Arts and Sciences (member of the presidium), Member of the Russian Academy of Cinema Art "Nika", Member of the Russian Union of Cinematographers (Board Member), Member of the Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Science  on Complex Problem of the History of World Culture, a member of the Presidium of the Confederation of Unions of Cinematographers, director of the Russian Institute of Culturology of the  Ministry of Culture of Russia since 1989, Program Director of the Moscow International Film Festival since 1999, Doctor of Arts (1984), Professor (1988), Honored Artist  of Russia (1996) .

Since 1972, he has been lecturing a course in the history of world cinema at the University for course writers and directors, from 1988 - film studies department at the State Institute of Cinematography. Since 1999, lecturing a course in modern filmmaking at the Institute of European cultures. He has lectured at universities in the U.S., Canada, France, Finland, Netherlands, Costa Rica, Australia and other countries.

Cyrill Emilievich is the author of more than 400 articles on culture and art published in Russia and abroad, the author and host of television series: "Kinomarafon (Film Marathon)" ("RTR", 1993-1995), "Vek kino (The Age of Cinema)" ("Ostankino", 1994 - 1995), "Ot kinoavangarda k videoisskusstvu  (From kinovangard to video art" ("Kultura", 2001-2002), "Kult kino" (Cult of cinema) ("Kultura", 2001-2002).

Muna Vasif (Syria), was  starring in the film «Risala» (Muhammad – Messenger of God), «Al’-Hansa», as well as dozens of historical serials that were  screened in all the Arab countries.  She continues to act in films, and lectures in Europe and the U.S. on the topic: «Islamic woman in cinema art».

The First International Festival of Muslim Cinema «Golden Minbar» was held in Kazan from the 5^th to the 11^th of September of 2005. It was timed to celebration of the Millennium of Kazan.

The festival was held by the initiative of the Russian Council of Muftis, Federal Culture and Cinematography Agency of Russian Federation, Ministry of Cultural Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan and with the support of the President of Tatarstan M.S.Shaimiev

Moviemakers from more than 20 countries, such as Egypt, Malaysia, Turkey, Iran, the USA, Great Britain, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Poland, CIS countries, Russian Federation took part in the festival.

The opening and closing ceremonies took place at the film hall «Organic». The demonstrations of competitive and non-competitive films were in the cinema «Mir» and аt the club «Navigator», filmmodus «Anshlag», cinema named after G. Tukai.
