The III Kazan International Festival of Muslim Cinema «Golden Minbar» was held in Kazan from the 6^th to the 12^th of September. The motto of the festival was «To the dialogue of cultures through the culture of dialogues».

At the III «Golden Minbar» nearly 90 movies from 39 countries were applied. The competitive program included 49 movies (16 full-time films, 15 short-length films, 12 documentary films, 6 TV reports). Non-competitive program included 27 movies.

Overall, 80 representatives of cinematographic professions from different countries, included 28 people from Russia and 52 people from foreign countries, took part in the festival.

The festival was covered by 234 journalists from 118 MSM. Among them were 11 foreign MSM (Egypt, Iran, Germany, Qatar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Turkey), 43 federal MSM and 53 republican MSM.

During the festival there were world and Russian premieres of films «Saira» (India, directed by Bija Kumar), «Kuktau» (Russia, Tatarstan, directed by Ildar Yagafarov), «Nomad» (Kazakhstan, directed by Ivan asser, Sergei Bodrov, Talgat Temenov) and others.

Competitive and non-competitive shows were held at the movie theatre «GRAND CINEMA» of shopping center «SUVAR PLAZA. Opening and closing ceremonies of international festival of Muslim Cinema «Golden Minbar» took place at the cultural and entertainment center «Pyramid».

15 000 spectators attended the festival events.
