She has been making films since 1995. Her documentary films got the «Golden Award» of the International Al-Jazeera  Documentary Film Festival, the award of the II Rome Film Festival (2007), «Golden Gates» prize at the International Film Festival in San Francisco, 3 awards of the Australian Film Institute, 2 awards of the Australian Society of Film Critics. Anna Broynovski has won a literary award of the Prime Minister of New South Wales.

Broynovski’s film  «Forbidden Lies» was  awarded as  «The Best non-action film» and got the «Special Prize of the Guild of Film Critics of Russia» at the IV Kazan International Muslim Film Festival «Golden Minbar».
