– Film specialist, film critic, film historian and theorist, professor of art history, board member of the Union of Cinematographers of Kazakhstan, the head of the workshop of cinema learning at the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after T. Zhurgenov.  

Nogerbek Bauyrzhan is the author of books and pamphlets: «Essays on the history of Kazakh cinema» (1980), «When the stories come to life: Animated Movie of Kazakhstan» (1984, monograph awarded with the Prize of Union of Cinematographers of the USSR), «KASACH FILM» (1985), «Cinema of Kazakhstan» (1987), «Cinema of Kazakhstan» (1998), «CINEMA KAZAKHO - KASAKH CINEMA» (2002), as well as more than 200 articles, book reviews, and essays. Works of Nogerbek were published in the CIS, Yugoslavia, Germany, Holland, Italy, the articles were translated into Serbo-Croatian, German, Dutch, Italian and English.

Bauyrzhan Ramazanuly was the editor-in-chief and one of the organizers of the association of animation «Kazahmultfilm»; secretary of the Union of Cinematographers of Kazakhstan (1981-1985), was the  founder of professional film pedagogics  in Kazakhstan, was the rector of the newly created Institute for theater and film named after T. Zhurgenov (1993-1994), organized the faculties of «Entertainment», «Arts»; actively participated in holding of the first international symposium of multipliers from Asia, Africa and Latin America. He also participated in organizing international conferences: «The role of cinema in the Environment», «Exhibitions of Kazakh cinema in the GDR» and the others; he is a member of the Council of Art of the National Company «Kazakhfilm» named after Sh. Aimanov, the member of the editorial board of several journals.

Bauyrzhan Nogerbek is the Laureate of Lenin Komsomol Prise of Kazakhstan (1978), Laureate of the USSR Union of Cinematographers of cinema studies and film critics (1985), Ph.D. (1989), bearer of the Certificate of Excellence in Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (1998), Kazakhstan prize Yenbek сі?ірген ?айраткері (Honor of Kazakhstan) (1999).
